As an environmental scientist and mother seeking sustainable travel options, selecting Rocky Mountain Chalets was a natural choice for our family vacation. Located within easy reach of Tongariro National Park, it offered the best accommodation in the region for our needs. The chalet, a Rocky Mountain Executive home, was a haven of peace on the fringes of popular family ski and hike destinations.Our days were filled with outdoor adventures, from hiking the Tongariro Crossing to skiing Mt Ruapehu slopes, making the chalet's self-sufficient luxury a perfect fit. The highlight was undoubtedly enjoying our own private spa under the starlit sky, providing an extra special focus on relaxing with family and friends. The spacious accommodation, well-equipped kitchen, and cozy living area catered to our needs, making it the best Ohakune has to offer for family getaways.
